Kaiane Aldorino took home the coveted Miss World crown, the first runner up was Miss Mexico, Perla Beltran and the second runner up was Miss South Africa, Tatum Keshwar. The much awaited beauty pageant of the year was held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Aldorino was crowned by Kseniasukhi Nova, the Miss World 2008. “Thank you South Africa, this is the most wonderful moment of my life,” said a tearful 22-year old Aldorino, who is a HR Clerk by profession.

Miss India, Pooja Chopra, made it to the semi-finals. A very determined Pooja, who had had severely twisted her ankle, appeared on stage wearing a cast. She looked stunning in a white gown as she posed gracefully on the stage.
Pooja, who was supporting the ‘Save the girl child’ initiative, won the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ title. “I’m speechless at the moment, I don’t know what to say,” exclaims an excited and emotional Pooja Chopra as she wins the title of ‘Beauty with a Purpose’.
