Some pervert took advantage of the crowd
Durga Puja celebrations turned sour for actress Bipasha Basu on Saturday. She was with her boyfriend John Abraham at the North Bombay Sarvojonin Durga Puja at Santacruz to take part in the festivities.Being a Bengali, Bipasha has always been part of Durga puja and this year wasn’t different. But an ugly incident spoiled the festivities for her.
When she neared the puja pandal, someone groped her from behind. The pervert reportedly laid his hands on Bipasha’s chest and groped it before disappearing back into the crowd.
The incident angered Bipasha and she tried to look for the man who groped her. Knowing that the miscreant had gotten away, John tried to placate Bipasha and whisked her away from the hustle and bustle of the crowd.
Reports say Bipasha even wanted to lodge a police complaint but later changed her mind.
Incidents of actresses being sexually groped are not new. Many popular actresses have had to face the embarrassment of being mauled by strangers.
