http://one.obuzz.com/admin/medium1/mi-50326.jpgAfter winning two Academy awards and one Golden Globe Award for the musical score of Slumdog Millionaire, A R Rahman has secured two nominations at the 2010 Grammy Awards.

The music wizard of India’s hit song Jai Ho is nominated in the category of ‘Best Song written for Motion picture, Television or Other Visual Media’ and will compete with Bruce Springsteen for The Wrestler, Once in a Lifetime from Cadillac Records, Decode from Twilight, and The Client from Hannah Montana: The Movie.

While the other nomination is for the ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ score in the category of ‘Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media,’ and will face competition from Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Inglourious Basterds,’ Beyonce Knowles’s ‘Cadillac Records,’ HBO’s True Blood and the film ‘Twilight’.

Now since the nominations are out, the countdown has begun for Grammy night, which will take place in Los Angeles on 31st January.
