Melania Trump Bumped by Baby Elephant While on Safari During Africa Trip

United States First Lady Melania Trump is expected in Kenya on Friday as part of her first solo international trip as FLOTUS

US First Lady Melania Trump wrapped up her visit to Kenya on Saturday morning after spending two nights in Nairobi.

Children living at The Nest in Nairobi greeted her with singing and dancing, and it didn't take long before the typically reserved United States first lady gave in to the moment.

The singing and dancing performance then continued outside, where Melania read a story to the same group of children who had walked up the pathway with her, before being read a story by a young a boy.

It was bad enough that Melania Trump lamented the slaughter of African elephants even though her stepsons hunt them and her husband's administration made it possible to import elephant trophies into America again. "I saw pix [SIC] of her earlier in the day with the colonial look going strong - white blouse and khaki trousers - but to add *that hat*... she may as well have worn an upturned middle finger on her forehead".

Mrs. Trump arrived at The Nest orphanage on Friday after helping feed baby elephants, still clad in the riding trousers and tall brown boots she had worn on a safari.

However, Phiri said the protesters could have done better, observing that the timing of their actions did not tally with the work the U.S. first lady came to do in the country.

She appears to be relishing her time in Africa.

Michael Kors to take control of Versace, say sources
Last year , the American group bought Jimmy Choo - whose stilettos were made famous by TV series Sex and the City - for $1.35bn. LVMH, PVH Corp. and Tapestry also looked at Versace in recent months, according to a report on Sunday by Women's Wear Daily .

She also stopped at a site where 105 tons of ivory was burned as part of an effort to discourage the trade.

In a tweet, President Trump said his wife has been well received on the continent and Africans love her.

Mrs Trump flew into Kenya on Thursday evening, after visits to Malawi and Ghana.

If her goal in Africa was to mend relationships - which may have been suffering following the President's alleged "shithole countries" comment earlier this summer - she seems to have missed the mark completely.

After the elephant feeding, she added the pith helmet to her outfit, and social media began to light up.

Mrs Trump has also said she is looking forward to meeting her Kenyan counterpart.

Egypt will be her final stop on the four-nation tour to highlight child welfare, education and tourism and conservation.
