Donald Trump Mocks Christine Blasey Ford's Testimony At Mississippi Rally

Christine Blasey Ford

Following Kavanaugh's testimony in front of lawmakers last Thursday, conjointly with his accuser Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, the White House ordered a one-week Federal Bureau of Investigation probe into the sexual-assault allegations, which will delay the full Senate's vote on whether to confirm the Supreme Court nominee.

President Trump blasted Christine Blasey Ford's Senate testimony - which accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault - at a campaign rally in Mississippi Tuesday night. "Well, do you think it was - nope, it was one beer", Trump said, mimicking Ford's testimony last week to the Senate Judiciary Committee. "'I don't remember, '" he continued.

He reiterated his earlier claims Tuesday that nowadays you are "guilty until proven innocent", and stepped up his line of argument that men are under attack in America, without mentioning survivors of sexual assault.

He apparently believes it's okay to short-circuit the legal process - in this case the FBI investigation he authorized - and just jump to the conclusion Ford must be a liar.

Imitating her, he said: "But I had one beer - that's the only thing I remember". He had previously called Ford a "very credible witness". "'I don't remember, '" Trump said at the rally in Southaven. "I would feel disgusting that we destroyed Kavanaugh", said Graham.

Trump's comments were met with laughter and applause from the crowd.

A look at what the FBI’s Kavanaugh investigation will entail
Kavanaugh has denied the accusation. "They have to make sure that this is a credible investigation from beginning to end". Sanders says the White House counsel has allowed the Senate to dictate the terms and scope of the investigation.

White House is open to testimony from Deborah Ramirez, Trump spokeswoman says
Previously Christine Blasey Ford alleged that Kavanaugh and another book had shut her in a room and tried to tear at her clothes. Ford's lifelong friend has said she doesn't know me and never remembers being at a party with me at any time in her life".

Trump Calls Kavanaugh 'Outstanding,' Dismissing Latest Sexual Misconduct Allegation
In backing away from his deadline, Grassley underscored the sensitivity with which Senate Republicans have tried handling Ford. They said in the statement that Ramirez never described the incident until after Kavanaugh was nominated to the Supreme Court.

Kavanaugh has denied the allegations. "You could be somebody that was flawless your entire life and somebody could accuse you of something". 'Where was the place?' I don't remember. "'I had one beer, '" he began. He concluded by lamenting that Kavanaugh's life was "shattered". "It doesn't necessarily have to be a woman", Trump said. "And we better start as a country getting smart and getting tough".

"What's happening here has more to do than even the appointment of a Supreme Court justice", Trump said, adding he hopes the Senate votes later this week to confirm Kavanaugh as the high court's ninth justice.

Another woman, Julie Swetnick, has alleged that in the 1980s she witnessed Kavanaugh and a friend of his, Mark Judge, try to ply teenage girls with alcohol at wild parties where girls were sexually abused.

Judge Brett Kavanaugh strongly denies the claims brought against him, leaving us in a situation where evidence is absolutely critical to determining what happened in this specific situation.

Judge's interview started but "has not been completed", his attorney said in a statement quoted by Fox News.
