Someone is attacking Google and Apple's shuttle buses

Buses with Apple Google employees pelted with stones in California

Apple facilitates its employees through several shuttle buses to transport them from San Francisco down to Cupertino every day and recent attacks show anger against them.

Apple and Google are victims of attacks by unknown miscreants who have attacked the respective company buses and damaged window panes even though none is reported to be hurt. The buses suffered window damage, perhaps from a BB gun or rocks, Montiel said.

Apple is now reportedly rerouting its employee buses as a result of the incident, a move that will add a significant amount of time to workers' commutes.

Montiel said that he could not be sure that the attack was targeted at Apple as the buses are unmarked.

At least one charter shuttle carrying Google employees to its Mountain View HQ was also targeted.

Early Wednesday evening, CHP told KPIX 5 that there was another earlier incident that happened last Friday involving a chartered bus, but authorities did not say what company operated that bus.

Kim Kardashian welcomes baby number three
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight that same month, Kardashian West talked about the challenges of having a baby via a surrogate . I'd just love nothing more than to expand my family and just know that I have this world at home that is safe.

The motive of these attacks is still unclear, but this isn't the first time buses used by Silicon Valley giants have been vandalized.

The report quoted Montiel as saying that if someone has targeted the buses, they will be on screen soon; they can not hide themselves for so long. "It could be Google, Apple or any other company", he said.

The attacks have forced Apple's shuttle off the highway. Following the incidents, both the tech firms have rerouted employee buses keeping in mind the safety of their employees.

At least four buses have had their windows shattered in incidents on January 12 and 16, according to Mashable. The route change "could mean an additional 30 to 40 minutes of commute time in each direction for some riders", the email explained.

The CHP is working with Apple on the investigation.

Demonstrators in 2013 and 2014 blocked and damaged buses to protest the booming tech industry's impact on affordable housing and the gentrification of San Francisco. One incident is said to have went down just outside of the city of Woodside, and another outside of Los Altos Hills.
