Colin Kaepernick Reportedly Signs $1 Million Dollar Book Deal

Letter Depriving Kaepernick of constitutional protections would be disrespectful to the country

NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart said the former quarterback would be invited by the players, not the league, while on a conference call with national reporters on Wednesday.

Colin Kaepernick has agreed to a book deal with Random House imprint One World worth just over $1 million, according to The New York Post's Ian Mohr. After sitting and then eventually kneeling during the national anthem during the 2016 season, Kaepernick ignited a spate of game day protests that have continued into this season and become a rising concern for league owners.

Details on the book deal remain scarce as an official announcement has yet to be made, but if you had to guess, the book is probably about Colin's kneeling protest, racism, and other social injustices going on in America right now. The player has linked his inability to find a new club with the protests he displayed previous year after refusing to stand for the national anthem.

He did not attend a meeting on October 17, despite receiving an invitation from Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins.

In riot-ravaged Gujarat , he appealed to the asmita of 5 crore Gujaratis and said that outsiders are tried to defame them. Today, we have the highest number of Dalit and Adivasi MPs. " Gujarat has been an eyesore for the party and the family".

Kaepernick reportedly said he would stand during the anthem if he got a chance to play in 2017. Oakland Athletics catcher Bruce Maxwell took a knee during the national anthem to show his solidarity for Kaepernick's protest. Several teams have had to justify not pursuing Kaepernick, who threw for 16 touchdowns and ran for two more last season against four interceptions, while signing other clearly inferior options. This comes after the same Page Six column reported Monday that the former NFL QB was seen "taking meetings with publishers in the NY offices of WME". NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league believes players should stand for the anthem, although no disciplining measures were announced towards athletes who continue to protest.

Kaepernick's decision to stay mostly out of the public eye recently may be due to some high-profile missteps he took while in the limelight, like when he said he didn't vote in the presidential election because he didn't want to support a system of oppression, or when he wore a Fidel Castro shirt and praised Cuba's literacy rates.

On Oct. 15, Kaepernick filed a collusion suit against the NFL, alleging the league had conspired to keep him from landing another job after he opted out of his 49ers contract earlier this year.
