Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn in TV showdown

David Carter also hurled abuse at the award winning reporter online after the interview

British Prime Minister Theresa May's lead over the opposition Labour Party has narrowed to four percentage points ahead of the June 8 election, according to a YouGov (LSE: YOU.L - news) poll reported by the Sunday Times newspaper.

ComRes has her personal rating turn negative for the first time since becoming Prime Minister past year at minus 3% - a 12 point drop since they last tested it in February.

"You are refusing to take part in debates, refusing to answer people's questions, refusing to talk to Jeremy Corbyn".

The 85-second montage of Corbyn's quotes has been circulating online for the last week and has been viewed 5.3m times, three times more than any other political campaign video.

Asked if he would still like to be finance minister after the election, Hammond told the BBC: "Of course I would, that's a silly question".

But she was accused by one audience member having "called an election for the good of the Conservative Party, and it's going to backfire on you".

Appearing on BBC's Question time, the Labour leader was asked how he would react if Britain was under imminent threat from nuclear weapons. "But this is an important moment for our country, we've got to get it right", she said.

"And I believe they should have a prime minister with a resolute determination to carry out their will". "Any circumstances where anyone is prepared to use nuclear weapon is disastrous for the whole planet", Mr Corbyn said.

Mr Corbyn said: "It is staggering that just six days from polling day millions of pensioners still don't know what's in store for them if they are unlucky enough to get dementia or any other condition that needs care in the home".

Mr Corbyn was pressed by the audience over whether he would pursue a coalition deal with the SNP in the event of a hung parliament and the Labour leader insisted there would be "no deals".

The Labour leader attacked Mrs May for failing to sign a joint letter with leaders of Germany, France and Italy condemning President Donald Trump's decision to pull the United States out of the Paris Accord on climate change. "I want to form a Labour government with a majority to carry out this fantastic programme which can give so much hope and opportunity to so many people".

She added she would continue to work for a Labour party that "once again can deserve your confidence".
