Trump attacks 'fake news' amid Russian Federation controversy that now includes Kushner

The Senate Intelligence Committee, which is investigating Russia's meddling in the 2016 USA presidential election, has requested information and documents from Mr Trump's campaign.

". Anyone within the Trump orbit is at risk of being used".

Trump's Sunday mini tweet storm represented a return to form for a president who largely refrained from tweeting anything provocative or controversial during his trip overseas last week. Air Force One touched down at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland just before 9pm.

Under the planned shakeup, White House Press secretary Sean Spicer would take a diminished public role, while Mr. Trump would take more opportunities to engage directly with his supporters via campaign rallies, social media appearances such as Facebook Live videos, and interviews with friendly news organisations, the NYT reported.

The disclosure of the back channel put White House advisers on the defensive, as Trump wrapped up his first foreign trip as president.

Now, the White House power couple - she a special assistant to the President, he a senior adviser and head of the newly-formed Office of American Innovation - is laying low.

But he did say that his "dashboard was lit up" with concerns about Trump advisers' interactions with Russians before he left office on January 20. "Gave me full details!"

"It is my opinion that numerous leaks coming out of the White House are fabricated lies", he tweeted.

- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 28, 2017 Whenever you see the words "sources say" in the fake news media, and they don't mention names.

Following the reports, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) urged Trump to fire his son-in-law from his position as White House advisor.

The top Democrat on the House intelligence committee is urging a review of White House adviser Jared Kushner's security clearance following news reports that he sought to set up back-channel communications with Russian Federation.

Trump also leaned on two administration officials with military experience to defend Kushner, who has become a significant person of interest in the FBI's investigation into whether the Trump campaign coordinated with Moscow in its efforts to sway the presidential election toward Trump. Kelly confirmed his position, then invoked the idea that Russian Federation would be communicating with the White House. "Now, despite that, he brought Jared Kushner into the White House because of his loyalty, because his usefulness within the White House".

Brady, one of the Moors murderers who was responsible for the deaths of five children, died last night at the age of 79. Mersey Care NHS foundation trust, which runs Ashworth hospital, confirmed that Brady died at 6.30 p.m.

The team chose to communicate with Moscow through more official channels.

As he mulls changes, Trump has entertained formally bringing back his former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, and former deputy campaign manager, David Bossie. We have one president at a time - does that make a difference?

Lewandowski's return would be notable, given the fact that he was sacked by Trump after clashing with staff and Trump's adult children.

Nonetheless, Lewandowski has the trust of the president - an advantage that many of Trump's aides lack.

Schiff added that he was disappointed that McMaster defended Kushner and said "this is an administration that takes in people with good credibility and chews them out and spits out their credibility at the same time".

Comey is expected to testify before Congress after Memorial Day about memos he kept on conversations with the president that pertained to the investigation.

It was then reported that, in what at least would have been an act of no small naivety, Mr Kushner had a year ago asked the Russian ambassador to the United States to establish a secret backchannel using Russia's communication systems to enable the Trump transition team to talk to Moscow.

Kushner has drawn increased scrutiny as reports have emerged about his contacts with the Russian ambassador and a Russian banking representative.

Kushner's involvement in the proposed back channel was first reported by The Washington Post, which said he proposed using Russian diplomatic facilities for the discussions, apparently to make them more hard to monitor. But he referred to former CIA Director John Brennan's testimony earlier this week that he was "worried by a number of the contacts that the Russians had with USA persons".

He went on to dismiss concerns that the rumor, if true, was not "a good thing".

Other major issues await Trump at home.
