Trumps says he expects a health care deal soon

"Now that I'm on the executive committee, my phone is ringing off the hook from all over the country - people who know me are sending their résumés", Nunes said. "And he still keeps telling us that we're going to see this information but nobody has seen it", said Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA).

Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, the top Democrat on the Senate intelligence committee - which is also investigating the Russia ties - said White House meddling in Congress' Russia investigations is not helping to "remove the cloud that increasingly is getting darker over the administration".

"We don't have networked access to these kinds of reports in Congress, " said Nunes.

House Republicans also struck an optimistic note Tuesday that they would be able to salvage their failed health-care bill, but there was little indication of any concrete shift in the political fundamentals that led to its failure. "Everything has been wiped off the calendar, for reasons I don't understand". "So where do we go now?" "Therefore, to the extent Ms. Yates needs consent to disclose the details of those communications to [the intelligence panel], she needs to consult with the White House". Nunes has thus become this week's "Emmanuel Goldstein" for the left, subjected to a barrage of criticism until their "two minutes of hate" yields a scalp, or they find another object for their hated.

After reviewing the information last week, Nunes called a news conference to announce that USA spy agencies may have inadvertently captured Trump and his associates in routine targeting of foreigners' communications.

"The American people should have had the benefit of an open hearing", Schiff said, noting the the initial public hearing brought Comey's acknowledgment that the FBI was investigating possible collusion between Trump campaign figures and Russian Federation.

The disclosure renewed calls for an independent committee to investigate the Russian Federation ties. On Monday, it announced that Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has agreed to be interviewed. According to sources, the paper trail leaves no other plausible goal for the unmasking of selected USA persons other than "to damage the incoming Trump administration". Trump's former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, Trump adviser Carter Page and Trump associate Roger Stone last week volunteered to speak as well.

Trump Convenes Panel On Empowering Women In Business
It also accuses them of "piggy-backing promotion" of Ms Trump's products at government events. Trump had already sought to distance herself from her business interests.

The matter is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and two congressional committees, so no conclusions have been reached at all. Democrats, meanwhile, have accused Nunes of attempting to "suicide bomb" his own investigation because they are convinced the evidence of collusion is there.

On Tuesday, Nunes told reporters that "everything is moving forward as is" and denied a scheduled hearing with senior officials from Barack Obama's administration had been cancelled. It is highly unusual for a committee chairman and ranking member not to co-ordinate meetings related to an investigation.

Despite this barrage of news surrounding his relationship with the White House, Nunes says he will remain at the helm of the House Intelligence Committee.

Flynn resigned from the Trump administration last month after acknowledging that he gave "incomplete information" to Vice President Mike Pence and others about multiple calls with Russian Ambassador to the U.S.

Nunes and the White House still won't answer some big questions. The next day, Nunes went to the Eisenhower Executive Office Building next to the White House to meet with an unnamed source who showed him documents related to USA intelligence surveillance.

In addition to the White House itself, the grounds include an adjacent building with offices for National Security Council and other executive branch employees.

The chairman has attracted criticism for his handling of the surveillance information - first for keeping the information from members of the House Intelligence Committee for partisan reasons and then for saying his source provided the classified information on the White House grounds. Nunes told CNN most of the names in the documents he viewed were masked but he has concerns about the ones that were unmasked, as well as how widely the surveillance findings were later shared within the government. "That never happened", he said.
