We don't know how to feel about these high heels for babies

U.S. Customs and Border Protection

They come in a range of animal print styles.

Pee Wee Pumps, a brand based out of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, promotes adult-like "fashion statements" and its products and ads are geared towards "high-fashion infant apparel".

The shoes, which retail for $10, come in a variety of colors (including leopard and zebra print) and cutesy names, like "Diva" or "Pretty in Pink".

Mums have been voicing their outrage on the Let Clothes Be Clothes Facebook page, and they haven't been holding back.

"This is horrific!" one Facebook user wrote, while another called the shoes "appalling". "Sickos sexualizing babies & children!".

The Daily Caller reports on the outrage of the parents taking to social media, quoting the Pee Wee Pumps shoe firm founder saying that the shoes are only meant to be "cute" and "funny" photo props.

She continued to say that the intention was never to offend or upset anyone - so her hope is that people take a step back and get a good laugh from it.

One parent reacted to an Instagram post by the brand with: "Dear god, why is that infant doing a boudoir session?" The post appears to have been removed from the group's Facebook page; however, according to reports, the post condemned Pee Wee Pumps for its "sexualization of children".

Michele Holbrook set up the company in 2012, after struggling to find a pair of stilettos for her newborn.

"That's disturbing. Even without the heels the pics would be not even remotely okay", wrote Eva.

The mom told Footwear News: "This isn't the first time that the United Kingdom has had a problem-they turn it into something it's not, it's a photo prop".

Would you buy this for your baby though? The heel is collapsible, and the shoes are not for walking in.

The creator of the shoes says there is no health risk, and that they're mostly used as props in pictures.
