Pop divas MADONNA and BRITNEY SPEARS‘ notorious lip-lock at the MTV Video Music Awards, has been voted the top kiss of the decade.

The two sensational singers created a stir around the world when they kissed in the opening number for the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards. The U.K. department store Selfridges has branded the kiss the most iconic of the 2000s.

Tobey Maguire’s passionate smooch with Kirsten Dunst in 2002’s Spider-Man came second in the list of Kiss of Decade, while Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal’s slow-burning song in ‘Brokeback Mountain’ in 2005 landed on third place.

Famous Bollywood music composer A.R Rahman has won two Grammy Awards for his song ‘Jai Ho’ of the movie ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. First Oscar and now Grammy Awards, Rahman has told the world that Bollywood is no less than Hollywood.

The 44 year old Indian composer won the awards at the dazzling 52nd Annual Grammy awards ceremony in Los Angeles. He won two Grammy in the Best Compilation Soundtrack for a motion picture and the Best Motion Picture Song categories. Excited but humble, Rahman said, “This is insane, god is great again”.

This was the special moment for Rahman, as he was nominated first time in Grammy Awards and won 2 awards together. Though, Grammy Awards are familiar with many legendry Indian classical musicians like Pandit Ravi Shankar, Zakir Jussain, Vikku Vinayak and Vishvamohan Bhatt who had already won the Grammy in the past. But this was the first time when any Bollywood musician won the prestigious Grammy Awards.

Rahman’s song ‘Jai Ho’, sung by Sukhvinder Singh, Tanvi Shah, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Vijay Prakash and Rahman, became an international hit last year. Steve Jordan for ‘Cadillac Records,’ Quentin Tarantino for ‘Inglourious Basterds’ gave tough competition to Rahman in best soundtrack category.

In the best song category Rahman faced competition from international Crooner Bruce Springsteen for his song ‘The Wrestler’. But outshining all the competitors, Rahman walked away with both the Grammy Awards.

LOS ANGELES: (Showbiz 99) In the 52nd Annual Grammy awards in Los Angeles, the American singer Beyonce Knowles made a history. She became the first female performer at the Grammys who won six awards including song of the year for her anthem “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)”.

The 28 year old singer won her six awards which includes best female pop vocal award for her soaring ballad “Halo.” Beyonce possibly was not aware of her record that is why her acceptance speech was very modest.

She said, “Thank you so much. This has been such an amazing night for me and I’d love to thank the Grammys. I’d like to thank all of the fans for their support over the years.”

The Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody” was key song which made “Halo” to win record of the year.

Beyonce already won five Grammys in 2004 for her debut album “Dangerously in Love”. Earlier Alicia Keys, Norah Jones and Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse and Alison Krauss have won 5 Grammy awards, but Beyonce became the first one who first reached that mark twice.

She also won the songwriting award along with the three writers for her song “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).” The sensational singer also won best R&B contemporary album for “I Am … Sasha Fierce”, her song “At Last” was named best traditional R&B vocal performance.

Model-turned-TV host Padma Lakhmi has been mum about the identity of the dad of the child she’s carrying ever since she became pregnant in October last year, but a US-based newspaper New York Post has suggested that B-school teacher Adam Dell could be the kid’s dad.

Adam Dell, a 40-year-old teacher, is the younger brother of billionaire computer maker Michael Dell.

Padma and Adam were first spotted nearly two years ago at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival. However, reports say the dad could also be corporate honcho Teddy Forstmann with whom she’s been linked.

The ‘Top Chef’ host was hospitalized recently for five days because of pregnancy complications and Teddy was reportedly by her side.

“The baby was in serious danger. Teddy has been by her side the whole time. He has been incredibly wonderful and supportive,” a source is quoted as saying by a news agency.

With a desire to remarry, media child Rahul Mahajan is all set to start his quest for a suitable bride on Monday on national television.

And he says he will ‘definitely’ marry on TV and will not disappoint the audience like Rakhi Sawant, whose ‘Swayamvar’ ended with no marriage. So isn’t the show rigged? Rahul, who is a divorced man, is quoted as saying, “See, the name of my show is ‘Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega’. The title itself says that I will take my bride home. I will definitely marry. In fact, the finale of the show will show my wedding only.”

He was talking to a news agency about his latest show on TV.

Trying to win Rahul’s heart will be 15 women selected from over 16,000 applicants across the country. The soon-to-wed son of the late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, wants three qualities in his wife -“honesty, genuineness and a sense of humour”. Sounds like a girl talking. And the biggest put-off for him will be dishonesty and melodrama.

Something about the 15 aspiring girls – around seven of them are associated with the glamour industry, which was quite predictable. Then there is a law student, a BJP activist, and an undergraduate student.
